Workshop Details

Explore how gender norms, societal expectations and childhood experiences influence our romantic relationships.

How can we make relationships that meet our unique needs?

A free, 3-part online workshop for people 18-26

Tuesdays 6-7.30 - 13th, 20th, 27th April 2021

Who is this workshop for?

We aim to have a group of people of different backgrounds and identities and welcome applications from people of colour, women, trans and non-binary people, the LGBTQIA+ community, disabled people, people on low incomes and working class people.

We will be talking to participants before the sessions to find out more about their experiences so we can make sure the sessions are relevant and inclusive to everyone.

Please call Rose on 07738 236 264, email rosehalltherapy@gmail.com, or use the contact from on this website.

Why are we doing these workshops?

We recognise that young people are bombarded with messages about relationships right from childhood and that gender norms, societal expectations and childhood experiences all affect our relationships as we get older. We also see that alongside exploration of gender identity and sexuality, young people are also starting to look at different ways to have relationships.

The aim of the workshops is to explore the factors that might influence and shape our relationships and to support young people to understand and communicate their needs better so they can create relationships that work for them.

The workshop series will take place online in April and it is initially a pilot. We will be seeking input and feedback from participants to ensure we can cover the areas they need support around.

Who is running the workshops?

This is a collaboration between TIGER Co-Op and Rose Hall Therapy.

Rose is an art therapist working within LGBTQIA+ community and Sophie runs workshops on gender with TIGER and works with survivors of domestic abuse.
